Dr. Shyni Duggal has done Graduation in History Honours and Post Graduation in History from the University of Delhi. Then she did her B.Ed., M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Education from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi, and cleared UGC-NET in Education. She has also done PG Diploma and Master’s Degree in Distance Education from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Master’s in Hindi from JMI, New Delhi and PG Diploma in Linguistics from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, New Delhi. After having joined IGNOU as Assistant Regional Director (ARD) at Regional Centre Karnal, Haryana in 2011, she has served Regional Services Division, IGNOU HQs., Regional Centre Delhi-1, New Delhi, and Central Student Registration Cell (CSRC), SRD, IGNOU HQs. also. Presently, she is working as ARD with Regional Centre Delhi-2, New Delhi. Before joining IGNOU as ARD, she has worked with DEE, NCERT, New Delhi; IUC, IGNOU, New Delhi; Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi; and District Institute of Education and Training, Keshav Puram, Delhi. She has also provided the Research & Statistical Support to Lyngdoh Committee on Students’ Union Elections. She has several research publications in journals including peer-reviewed journals to her credit. She has also been engaged in research work, writing self learning materials, developing e-content, etc. She has also attended seminars, workshops and conferences. She has delivered talks, and addressed students and academics in various colleges and Learner Support Centres (LSCs) on several occasions. She has also acted as a recourse person for Interactive Radio Counselling Sessions on Gyan Vani, EMPC, IGNOU HQs.  Her areas of specialization are Teacher Education, Distance Education, and Educational Administration.
