Certificate in French Language (CFL)

Eligibility:

Adults who have successfully completed 10+2 or its equivalent.
Note: Registration fee is Rs 100

The programme aims to introduce French to beginners and gradually builds skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking and to develop intercultural competence of the learners.

The Programme is based on the textbook Connexions, Methode de Français, Regine Merieux, Yues Loiseau. Dideir, 2001 based on the common European Framework of Reference for languages formulated by the Council of Europe for all European Languages. The book ‘Connexions’ is being supplemented with wrap up materials by IGNOU in the form of user manual with study guide, added exercises, glossary and phonetics as additional material to help the learner. The significant feature is that materials have been prepared for the learners in both French-Hindi for Hindi phones and French English for Anglo phones. The learners thereby have the choice of taking either of the two mediums.
